I love covers. And I love cover bands. These guys play it fairly straight, putting a power-rock sheen onto songs that were mostly power-rock and power-pop to start with. But they left me wondering... When you cover songs with such a dead-on, sweaty, Meatloaf-like earnestness, are you celebrating the source matierial...or are you making fun of it?
